Cause and Effect
Explanation:


Using Cause and Effect. A cause states why something happens. An effect states a result or outcome. At times, a single cause leads to several effects. For example, "Stress leads to both short-term and long-term effects." Other times, several causes contribute to a single effect.

These words are key because they will help to identify cause and effect questions and statements as well as be able to write sentences that show the cause and effect relationship

Cause characteristics :

Reason (How that thing happen)
The answer of 'how did happen?'
First sequence
Usually, starts with 'because'
Effect Characteristics :
The result of something
The answer of 'what happened?'
Second sequence

1. Characteristics of the Cause (Cause)
These are the characteristics of the cause:
- Answering the question, "Why did this happen?"
- Contains signal words/linking words/causal linking
- Can be stored at the beginning or at the end of the sentence

2. Characteristics of the Effect (Consequences)
So, you can conclude that a clause is included as an effect by looking at the following characteristics:
- The answer to the question, "What happened?"
- Usually begins with signal words/linking words/causal linking
- Can be replaced with other nouns

3. Characteristics of Cause and Effect Paragraphs (cause and effect)
The following are the characteristics of cause and effect paragraphs
- There is a main idea throughout the text
- Has supporting details or supporting sentences in the form of causes
- There is a sentence "consequences" which is used as a conclusion or conclusion
